MOSCOW, April 30. /TASS/. A missile strike was launched on Sunday night, targeting positions of the Syrian government troops near the cities of Hama and Aleppo, the government’s Suriya TV channel reported on Monday.

"The new aggression against Syria was committed at 22:30 [Moscow time] on Sunday," the report said.

The channel gave no information about damage or casualties.

However, a live broadcast from one of the sites shows that the missile strike caused a serious fire at one of the facilities.

Libya’s Al-Mayadeen TV reported that one of the targets was the Al-Malikiya district in Aleppo, which lies north of the city airport in Al-Nayrab.

It is yet unknown who launched the attack.
