Russia Prosecutor General’s Office makes extradition request for Baumgertner

MOSCOW, November 5 (Itar-Tass) - The Russian Investigative Committee has sent the materials to the Russian Prosecutor General’s Office to make a request for extradition of Uralkali Director General Vladislav Baumgertner, the press service of the Russian Investigative Committee told Itar-Tass on Tuesday.

“Back on October 16 Baumgertner was charged in absentia with abuse of powers (Article 33 Part 3 and Article 201 Part 2 of the Russian Criminal Code). On October 17, the court has sent a request to put him under arrest and he was put on the international wanted list, on October 18, the Russian Prosecutor General’s Office has received the materials for his extradition request,” the investigative committee said.
