SIMPFEROPOL, November 25. /TASS/. Package tours including trips to Sochi and Crimea will be very popular with tourists, Chairman of the Crimean State Council Committee for Resorts and Tourism Alexei Chernyak told TASS.
“This is a very promising field. We need to develop package tours including Sochi and Crimea. Each of the regions has much to offer. In Sochi there are mountain ski resorts and Olympic facilities, while Crimea offers health tourism and historical sites. So the two destinations will complement each other,” Chernyak added.
According to him, such tours will attract foreign tourists as well. “Chinese tourists have already started coming, tourist companies offer them trip to not only Moscow but also to Sochi and Crimea. These tours are very popular,” he stressed.
During the SIFT 2016 International Forum for Tourism, head of Russia’s Federal Agency for Tourism Oleg Safonov said that package tours increase the availability of tourism services and have positive impact on the development of domestic tourism.
Krasnodar region Minister for Resorts, Tourism and Olympic Heritage Khristofor Konstanidi supports this idea. He noted that cruise tourism would give an impetus to the development of tourism in the Krasnodar region provided the tours include Crimea.
