Sochi Olympic experience to be used in preparation of Baku-2015 European Games

BAKU, October 19 /TASS/. The organizers of the first Baku 2015 European Games will use the experience of the Sochi Olympic Games and the 2013 Youth University Games in Kazan, a member of the Baku-2015 organizing committee in charge of communications told TASS on Saturday.

The Baku-2015 organizing committee comprises 20 Russian employees with work experience and knowledge in various spheres.

The Azerbaijani capital Baku will host the first European Games on June 12-28. Athletes will compete for 250 sets of medal in 30 kinds of summer sports.

The European Games programme includes 25 Olympic and 5 non-Olympic kinds of sport (sambo, basketball 3X3, beach football, acrobatics and aerobics). About 1,600 athletes will take part in the competitions.

A judo tournament for people with eyesight problems will take place in Baku as part of the European Games.
