Algeria's soccer team outperforms South Korea, 4-2, at 2014 World Cup

In the concluding series of the group stage, the Algerians will play against Russian team on June 27

RIO DE JANEIRO, June 23 /ITAR-TASS/. Algeria's soccer team has outperformed South Korea, 4-2, in a Group H match of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. The match was played at the Beira Rio stadium in Porto Alegre.

Islam Slimani (28th minute), Rafik Halliche (28), Abdelmoumen Djabou (38) and Yacine Brahimi (62) were scorers for the Algerian team, and Son Heung-min (50), and Koo Ja-cheol (72) scored for the South Korean side.

Group H standings are as follows:

1. Belgium 6 points

2. Algeria 3,

3. Russia 1,

4. South Korea - 1.

In the concluding series of the group stage, the Algerians will play against Russian team and South Korean footballers will meet with Belgium. Both matches are due to be played on June 27. The holder of a second place in the Round of 16 will become known as a result of the two matches.

Earlier, the Belgians defeated Russia (1-0) and, upon gaining six points, qualified for a playoff ahead of schedule.
