Russian lugers win silver in luge team relay competition

The German luge team won gold

SOCHI, February 13. /ITAR-TASS/. German lugers won gold in the team relay competition at the XXII Olympic Winter Games in the southern Russian resort of Sochi on Thursday. They finished with a total time of 2 minutes 45.649 seconds.

The Russian team secured silver (2:46.679), which was the country’s 11th medal at the Sochi Games. Latvian lugers took bronze (2:47.295).

Russia has so far won two gold medals, five silvers and four bronze medals.

The German team consisted of Natalie Geisenberger, Felix Loch, Tobias Wendl and Tobias Arlt.

The Russian team comprised Tatyana Ivanova, Albert Demchenko, Alexander Denisyev and Vladislav Antonov.

Latvia was represented by Eliza Tiruma, Martins Rubenis, Andris Sics and Juris Sics.
