Russia’s Anton Shipulin takes third place in men’s World Cup Biathlon total standing

TYUMEN, March 25. /TASS/. Russian biathlete Anton Shipulin has grabbed the third place in the men’s World Cup total standing.

Shipulin, 30, is third with 697 scores after Martin Fourcade of France (1,116) and Boe Johannes Thingnes of Norway (1,027).

In the current season, Shipulin won gold in a sprint race and bronze in a pursuit race in Finland’s Kontiolahti. Apart from that, he was third in a pursuit race in France’s Anse and in Italy’s Antholz.

He also won bronze as a member of the Russian team at relay events in Germany’s Ruhpolding and Norway’s Holmenkollen.

Last season, Shipulin was second the World Cup total standing, with 918 scores.
