Russia beats Sweden in Channel One Cup hockey tournament in Moscow

MOSCOW, December 14. /TASS/. Russia’s hockey team defeated Sweden 3:1 during the Channel One Cup tournament currently under way in Moscow.

Sergey Kalinin (13th minute), Vyacheslav Voynov (35) and Nikita Gusev (42) scored for Russia. Fredrik Pettersson (10) scored for Sweden.

This year’s Channel One Cup will be played on December 13-17, 2017. The Czech Republic, Finland, Sweden and Russia, along with the new teams of Canada and South Korea, are competing for the trophy.

During the Russian team’s next game, due on December 16, Russia will face Canada.
