MOSCOW, November 23. /TASS/. Russian FC Rostov has defeated German FC Bavaria in the match at home at the group stage of the UEFA Champions League.
Rostov scored three goals — Sardar Azmoun (44th minute), Dmitry Poloz (5oth minute) and Christian Noboa (67th minute). Bavaria scored twice — Douglas Costa (35th minute) and Juan Bernat (52nd minute).
This is the first victory of FC Rostov at the group stage of UEFA Champions League. The last time Bavaria missed three or more goals was on 5 December 2015, when it was defeated 1:3 by Borussia Monchengladbach.
Later on Wednesday, Spain’s Atletico which leads in Group D will play a match with Holland’s PSV Eindhoven.
FC Rostov thus earned four points and moved to the third place in the group. Bavaria remains at the second place with nine points.
At the final stage, FC Rostov will play a match with PSV Eindhoven on December 6. FC Bavaria will play a game with Atletico on the same day.
