MOSCOW, November 21. /TASS/. International Olympic Committee (IOC) has disqualified four Russian athletes after the re-analysis of stored samples from the London 2012 Olympic Games, the IOC official website said.
On the whole, the IOC has sanctioned 12 athletes for failing anti-doping test as London Olympics, including four Russians: Yuliya Zaripova, who won gold in the women’s 3000m steeplechase event, silver medalists Nataliya Zabolotnaya (women’s 75kg weightlifting event) and Alexandr Ivanov (men’s 94kg weightlifting even) as well as Andrey Demanov who ranked fourth in the men’s 94kg weightlifting event.
