MOSCOW, November 14. /TASS/. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, who visited the US last week, said he conducted no assignments from the Kremlin administration there.
"I had no meetings [with anyone]," Peskov told TASS in reply to the query whether he had met with US politicians or representatives of the authorities during the US trip.
"Only the chess [mission]," he said, answering the question about the aim of the trip.
Peskov travelled to the US last week. As the chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Russian Chess Federation, he took part in the ceremony to open the World Chess Championship Match, held from November 11 to 30, and other official events of FIDE.
Russian chess grandmaster Sergey Karjakin and Norway’s Magnus Carlsen are fighting for the title of world chess champion.
