RIO DE JANEIRO, August 19. /TASS/. The Russian national team slid to the fifth place in the unofficial team standing at the 2016 Summer Olympics after the thirteenth day totally winning 44 medals - 12 gold, 15 silver and 17 bronze.
On the thirteenth day of competitions in Rio de Janeiro the Russian team won three medals. Aleksey Denisenko won silver in taekwondo 68 kg category. Yekaterina Bukina won bronze in women’s free-style wrestling 75 kg category and boxer Vladimir Nikitin gained another bronze medal in 56 kg category after being eliminated from semi-final fight due to injury.

The 2016 Summer Olympic Games kicked off in Rio de Janeiro on August 5. The closing day is August 21.
