RIO DE JANEIRO, August 18. /TASS/. Long jumper Daria Klichina, who is the only Russian athlete participating in the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, has taken only the 9th place in the tournament.
Twelve jumpers participated in the finals. After three attempts eight of them enter the final part.
Klishina’s best jump (of here three attempts) was 6.63 meters and this did not allow her to enter the top eight.
Russian track athletes were barred from participating in the Olympics in Brazil due to disqualification of the National Federation following the doping scandal. Klishina, who lives and trains abroad, was the only Russian field track athlete allowed to take part in the Games.
Problems with getting permission to compete at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro prevented Russian long jumper Darya Klishina from showing a better result, Klishina's coach, American Loren Seagrave told TASS.
