RIO DE JANEIRO, August 18. /TASS/. Russia’s Natalya Vorobyeva has won silver in women’s free-style wrestling in the category up to 69 kg at Summer Olympics.

In the final wrestle she lost against Japan’s Sara Dosho Icho.

Kazakhstan’s Elmira Syzdykova and Sweden’s Jenny Fransson took bronze medals.

Vorobyeva’s medal is the second one for Russian women’s wrestling team. Earlier Valeria Koblova won silver in the category of up to 58 kg.

By now the Russian athletes have won 41 medals including 12 gold, 14 silver and 15 bronze ones.

Natalya Vorobyeva was born on May 27, 1991 in the Irkutsk region. She is the Olympic champion of 2012 (category up to 72 kg), world champion of 2015 (69 kg), silver medalist of the World Championship of 2013 (72 kg), bronze medalist of the 2014 world championship (69 kg). Vorobyeva is two-time European champion and won bronze at the European Games in 2015. She lives in St. Petersburg.

The Olympic Games will end on August 21.
