RIO DE JANEIRO, August 18. /TASS/. Russia’s Valeria Koblova has won silver in women’s free-style wrestling 58 kg category at Summer Olympics.
In the final wrestle she lost against Japan’s Kaori Icho with the score 2:3.
Tunisia's Marwa Amri and India’s Sakshi Malik took bronze medals.
Icho became a four-time Olympic winner.
Koblova brought the first medal for Russia’s national team in women wrestling at the Olympics in Rio.
By now the Russian athletes have grabbed 40 medals: 12 gold, 13 silver and 15 bronze medals.
Valeria Koblova was born on October 9, 1992 in the town of Yegoryevsk of the Moscow region. She is ex-world champion and European champion of 2014 in the category of 58 kg and the bronze winner of the 2013 World Championship in the category up to 55 kg.
The Summer Olympics in Rio will last until August 21.
