RIO DE JANEIRO, August 17. /TASS/. Russia’s national team has retained the fourth place in the unofficial team standing at the 2016 Summer Olympics after the 11th day winning 38 medals - 12 golds, 12 silvers and 14 bronzes.

Three medals went to Russia on the eleventh day of competitions in Rio. Synchronized swimmers Svetlana Romashina and Natalya Ishchenko won gold medals in duet, becoming four-time Olympic gold medalists.

Russian gymnast David Belyavsky took bronze in men’s parallel bars and Roman Anoshkin won a bronze medal in men’s kayak single 1,000m heat.

The 2016 Summer Olympic Games kicked off in Rio de Janeiro on August 5. The closing day is August 21.
