RIO DE JANEIRO, August 17. /TASS/. Russia’s only track and field athlete taking part in the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Darya Klishina, has made it to the final part of long jump competitions.
The qualifying result is 6.75 meters. In her best attempt, Klishina’s result was 6.64 meters, which made it possible for her to reach the final, which will take place Wednesday.
Russian track and field athletes were banned from participating in the Olympic Games in Brazil due to disqualification of the national federation over the doping scandal. Only Klishina, who lives and trains abroad, is taking part in the Games.
