RIO DE JANEIRO, August 16. /TASS/. The Russian national team has retained the fourth place in the unofficial team standing at the 2016 Summer Olympics after the tenth day winning 35 medals - 11 gold, 12 silver and 12 bronze.
Russia’s team won five medals during the tenth day of competitions in Rio de Janeiro. Russian boxer Evgeny Tishchenko and Greco-Roman wrestler Davit Chakvetadze grabbed gold in the men’s 91 kg and 85 kg Olympic events, respectively. Gymnast Denis Ablyazin won silver in vaulting and bronze on still rings. Also, Russian Greco-Roman wrestler Sergey Semyonov gained bronze in the men’s 130 kg Olympic event.

The US national team has retained its leadership in the unofficial team standing with 26 gold, 23 silver and 26 bronze medals, followed by the teams of UK (16-17-8) and China (15-14-17).
The 2016 Summer Olympic Games kicked off in Rio de Janeiro on August 5. The closing day is August 21.
