RIO DE JANEIRO, August 14. /TASS/. Russian gymnast Aliya Mustafina has won the gold medal in women’s uneven bars at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games on Sunday.
Mustafina scored 15.900 points. Madison Kocian of the United States won the silver medal with 15.833 points and Sophie Scheder of Germany won bronze with 15.566 points.
Another Russian gymnast, Darya Spiridonova took the eighth place with 13.966 points. Seda Tutkhalian and Angelika Melnikova failed to qualify for the finals.
In all, Russia has won by now 28 medals, including eight gold, eleven silver and nine bronze.
