RIO DE JANEIRO, August 9. /TASS/. Russian judoka Khasan Khalmurzaev has won the gold Olympic medal in the category of men -81kg on Tuesday.
In the final contest, Khalmurzaev, 22, defeated Travis Stevens of the United States. Bronze medals went to Takanori Nagase of Japan and Sergiu Toma of the United Arab Emirates.
Khalmurzaev’s medal is 11th one won by the Russia national team at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. As of now, Russia has three gold medals, five silver medals and three bronze medals.
The Olympic Games which kicked off in Brazil’s Rio de Janeiro on August 5 will finish on August 21.
