RIO DE JANEIRO, August 7. /TASS/. Timur Safin of Russia has won the bronze medal in men’s foil individual at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games on Sunday.
Safin defeated Richard Kruse on Great Britain 15-10.
Safin, 23, was born in Tashkent and moved to Russia later. He has been doing fencing since 2001 and has been a member of the Russia national team since 2012. He won a bronze medal at the 2014 world championships, and two gold medals at the 2016 European championships in individual and team events.
