RIO DE JANEIRO, August 7. /TASS/. Russia’s Paralympic Committee (RPC) has good changes with the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) to have suspension of Russian Para athletes from the 2016 Paralympic Games canceled, RPC President Vladimir Lukin told TASS on Sunday.
"We will file a claim with the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne immediately. We hope CAS will take a decision like the one on the Russian Olympians. So, it’s just the beginning," he said.
The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) is indulging in inferior political activities and its decision to ban Russian Para athletes from competing at the 2016 Paralympic Games is obviously politically motivated, Vladimir Lukin told TASS on Sunday.
"If the International Paralympic Committee wants to indulge in that sort of middling political activities, it is free to do that," Lukin said. "I cannot prove that this decision was politically motivated but it smells as dirty politics well articulately."
"The final decision on that matter is clear, at least for me. I respect court bodies, including those for sport, which pass wise decisions on such cases," he said.
