RIO DE JANEIRO, August 6. /TASS/. The Russian Olympic Team Fans House in the Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro was robbed during the 2016 Olympics opening ceremony, Anastasiya Grigoryeva, the house’s head, told TASS.
"During the ceremony opening the Olympic Games, the Russian Olympic Team Fans House was robbed. Three laptops and a camera were stolen," she said. "The police are looking into the incident. The inquiries are underway."
The fans’ house operates in a routine mode, she said.
"But no matter what, we are continuing work and our doors are open to everybody," Grigoryeva said. "We are hoping that our House will host lots of guests who will come to greet our champions."
The ceremony opening the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Brazil’s Rio, the first to be held in South America, kicked off at 8.00 p.m. local time on August 5 and ended at 1.00 a.m. on August 6.
The Games are scheduled from August 5 through 21.
