MOSCOW, July 31. /TASS/. Russian national football team could hold friendly matches at the new stadiums of CSKA and Krasnodar in the coming fall, Russian Sports Minister and President of the Russian Football Union Vitaly Mutko told TASS.
The Russian national team as the team of the country - organizer of the 2018 World Cup is exempt from qualifying for the tournament. During qualifying round the team will hold friendly matches.
"In the future we will try to play at the new stadiums. In particular, in October we will play at the arena in Krasnodar, as well as CSKA, if the stadium is commissioned," Mutko said.
On Saturday, Deputy Mayor for Urban Development and Construction Marat Khusnullin e said that all preparatory work for the opening the CSKA football stadium will be completed in August. The arena is designed for 30,000 spectators.
It is expected that the Krasnodar stadium will open in fall. The capacity of the arena will be about 33,000 spectators.
