MOSCOW, July 28. /TASS/. The Russian Football Premier League (RFPL) will start texting fans identification system in the 2016/2017 season, which kicks off on Saturday, Sergei Pryadkin, the president of the league, said on Thursday.
"We will put the fans identification system in test mode," RFPL president said. "Two football clubs, namely Zenit and Rubin, already have this system installed."
Security and fans behavior during football matches is under close attention of the Russian football authorities as the country is currently in full swing preparations for hosting the FIFA World Cup in 2018.
