MOSCOW, July 27. /TASS/. The International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) has cleared the Russian artistic gymnastics team for competing at the Rio Olympics, President of the Russian Artistic Gymnastics Federation and FIG Vice-President Vasily Titov told TASS on Wednesday.
"Yes, our team has been admitted in its full composition," Titov said.
The Russian artistic gymnastics team will comprise Denis Ablyazin, David Belyavsky, Nikita Ignatiev, Nikolai Kuksenkov, Angelina Melnikova, Alia Mustafina, Nikita Nagorny, Maria Paseka, Darya Spiridonova, Seda Tutkhalyan, Natalia Kapitonova (reserve), Vladislav Polyashov (reserve) and Ivan Stretovich (reserve).
President of the All-Russia Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation and chief coach Irina Viner-Usmanova told TASS earlier on Wednesday that the Russian rhythmic gymnastics team had been allowed by the FIG to compete at the Rio Olympics.
