Russian rhythmic gymnastics team allowed to compete at Rio Olympics

MOSCOW, July 27. /TASS/. The Russian rhythmic gymnastics team has been cleared by the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) to compete at the Rio Olympics, President of the All-Russia Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation and chief coach Irina Viner-Usmanova told TASS on Wednesday.

‘We received an official document from the FIG this morning on allowing our team to compete in its full composition at the Olympic Games," the chief coach said.

Russian individual rhythmic gymnasts will be represented by Yana Kudryavtseva and Margarita Mamun. In group exercises, the Russian rhythmic gymnastics team will comprise Anastasia Maximova, Anastasia Bliznyuk, Maria Tolkacheva, Anastasia Tatareva and Vera Biryukova.
