BAD RAGAZ (Switzerland), May 26. /TASS/. Schalke 04 FC footballer Roman Neustaedter told journalists after a training session of the Russian national team held in Switzerland’s Bad Ragaz on Wednesday that he will get a Russian passport in 3-4 days.
It was announced Wednesday that Vladimir Putin signed a decree to grant 28-year-old Neustaedter Russian citizenship. The player was summoned to the Russian national team to train for UEFA Euro 2016.
Neustaedter was born in 1988 in Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk and moved to live in Germany with his family in the early 1990s. He has been playing for Schalke 04 FC since 2012 and his father is a famous Soviet footballer and coach Peter Neustaedter.
