Czechs beat Sweden 4-2 at 2016 IIHF World Championship

MOSCOW, May 6. /TASS/. The Czech Republic has topped Group A with a 4-2 win over Sweden in a preliminary round action at the 2016 IIHF World Championship at Moscow’s Ice Palace.

Robert Rosen, Martin Lundberg scored two goals for Sweden on Monday. Michal Birner, Jan Kovar and David Pastrnak brought victory to the Czech Republic.

On May 12 Czechs battles against Norway and on May 11 Sweden faces Kazakhstan.

The matches of the 2016 IIHF World Championship are held in the Russian capital of Moscow and in the country’s second largest city of St. Petersburg between May 6 and 22.
