MOSCOW, March 16. /TASS/. Brazilian striker Hulk’s contract with Zenit St. Petersburg football club stipulates a compensation of €100 million (over $110 million) in case of an early termination of the document, a source close to the situation told TASS on Wednesday.
"The compensation for Hulk stands at €100 million," the source said in an interview with TASS. "The same figure is stipulated for [Zenit’s Belgian midfielder] Axel Witsel."
Maxim Mitrofanov, the director general of Zenit FC, said earlier in the year that a Chinese football club, which he declined to name, offered €30 million ($33.3 million) for Hulk. In an interview with TASS this week, Mitrofanov stated that Zenit had no intentions at all to part with the 29-year-old Brazilian forward.
Hulk joined Zenit in the fall of 2012 after playing in Portugal’s Porto FC since 2008. Last year in February, the Brazilian forward extended his contract with Zenit FC until June 2019.
Playing for Zenit St. Petersburg FC, Hulk scored a total 67 goals in 137 matches.
