INNSBRUCK, February 19. /TASS/. Russian skeleton racer Alexander Tretyakov on Friday shared silver medal with South Korean national Yun Sung-bin at the Bobsleigh and Skeleton World Championships, underway in Austria’s Innsbruck on February 8-21.

The two racers showed equal scores of 3:29.97 summing four attempts.

Latvian athlete Martinus Dukurs has become a new World Skeleton Champion, outrunning silver-winners by 1:13.0 seconds.

Russian national Nikita Tregubov gained fifth place, which is one position lower than his last year’s result in 2015 Championships in German’s Wittenberg. His fellow Russian Tretyakov, the champion of the 2014 Winter Olympics, last year also came second after Dukurs.
