MOSCOW, February 12. /TASS/. Oleg Bratash has been appointed coach of Russia’s Olympic ice hockey team, the official website of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation reports.
Former goalkeeper of HC Krylya Sovetov (Soviet Wings), CSKA (Red Army Team) and Torpedo Yaroslavl team and the current Lokomotiv team coach, Bratash will take up his duties after his contract with HC Lokomotiv Yaroslavl expires. Under the new contract, he is to coach Russia’s national team until the spring of 2018.
The decision on forming the Olympic team was taken at the last meeting of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation board in December.
