SIMFEROPOL, December 2. /TASS/. A delegation of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) will visit Crimea in January, the head of the peninsula’s football union told TASS on Wednesday.
"The official visit will be in January, after the New Year," Yuri Vetokha said.
An UEFA delegation visited the Crimean Football Union’s headquarters on December 1.
Vetokha said it was a surprise visit. "They spent just three hours at the headquarters but, of course, we are happy that they came," he said.
Vetokha said the delegation praised Crimea’s work to organize the first leg of the peninsula’s premiere league.
