MOSCOW, November 11. /TASS/. Marina Dikunets has been appointed acting director of the Moscow anti-doping laboratory after its former head Grigory Rodchenkov resigned amidst a doping scandal, Natalia Zhelanova, an adviser to the Russian sports minister, told TASS on Tuesday.
"Marina Dikunets, a highly-qualified specialist of the Moscow anti-doping laboratory, has been appointed its acting director," she said.
The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) on Tuesday suspended the work of the Moscow anti-doping laboratory over numerous violations of doping-testing procedures exposed by the WADA Independent Commission. Russian Minister of Sports Vitaly Mutko told TASS later that the laboratory’s chief Grigory Rodchenkov had resigned.
