MOSCOW, October 13. /TASS/. The Russian Football Union (RFU) may continue cooperation with Leonid Slutsky recently appointed head coach of the national football team, Sports Minister Vitaly Mutko said on Tuesday.
"We are currently satisfied with Slutsky’s work," said Mutko, elected RFU president in early September.
"This issue needs further discussion," Mutko said commenting on Slutsky’s future as the national team’s head coach.
The Russian football team led by Slutsky defeated Montenegro 2-0 in its final qualification match for 2016 UEFA Euro Cup on Monday and got a straight ticket for the tournament.
The 2016 UEFA Euro Cup will be held between June 10 and July 10 in France.
