MONTPELLIER (France), September 9. /TASS/. Finland’s 88-59 victory on Wednesday over Bosnia and Herzegovina at the 2015 FIBA Eurobasket scrapped Russia’s chances of travelling for 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
Russia lost three games in a row and will be unable to earn enough points in the remaining two matches to take a place in the top four of its Group A to proceed to the next stage.
The Russian women’s national team, who are the 2003, 2007 and 2011 European Champions, also failed to qualify for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Brazil.
