KAZAN, August 4. /TASS/. British swimmer Adam Peaty set a world record in the men's 50 metres breaststroke at the FINA World Championships in Russia’s Kazan on Tuesday.

Peaty completed the race in 26.42 seconds breaking the previous record of 26.62 seconds set by South Africa's Cameron van der Burgh during the morning heats earlier on Tuesday.
