MOSCOW, June 19. /TASS/. Russia’s Dinamo Moscow FC has been suspended from the Europa League’s 2015/2016 season over its violation of the financial fair play regulations set by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA), Vasily Titov, the chair of the club’s board of directors, told TASS on Friday.
"There were no penalties imposed in regard to the club besides its suspension from the European tournaments," Titov said in an interview with TASS.
The principle of financial fair play was approved by UEFA Executive Committee in September of 2009 and came into force in 2011. Since then each club participating in UEFA competitions must prove it has no overdue liabilities to other football clubs and its players or tax arrears as well. A football club must also prove that it did not spent more than it earned.
