BAKU, June 14. /TASS/. Russia’s national team is second in the team standing after the second day of the first European Games that are being held in Azerbaijan’s capital city Baku.
On Sunday, Russian athletes added two gold and two bronze medals to the three golds won on Saturday.
Wrestler Artem Surkov won men’s -66kg Greco-Roman gold. Wrestler Davit Chakvetadze won the men’s 85kg Greco-Roman gold.
Wrestler Chingiz Labazanov won the men’s -75kg Greco-Roman bronze.
Karateka Ivanna Zaytseva won women’s +68kg bronze.
Azerbaijan, the host nation of the Games, is leading the team standing with six gold, three silver and five bronze medals.
