OSTRAVA /Czech Republic/, May 2. /TASS/. Russia’s national ice hockey team has defeated Norway 6-2 (4-0, 2-2, 0-0) in the IIHF World Championship’s Group B game in the Czech Republic.
Russia’s Vadim Shipachev scored in the 3rd minute, Artyom Anisimov in the 4th, Danis Zaripov in the 16th, Viktor Tikhonov in the 17th, Maxim Chudinov in the 30th, and Artemy Panarin in the 35th.
Norway’s Patrick Thoresen netted the puck in the 21st and 27th minutes.
Russia will next play Slovenia on May 3. The previous day, Norway will play the United States.
The championship is held in Ostrava and Prague on May 1-17.
