MOSCOW, March 14. /TASS/. Russian Semion Elistratov has won gold in men’s 1,500m final to finish in 2:18.096 on day two of the ISU World Short Track Speed Skating Championships 2015 held in Moscow.
The 24-year-old, who was crowned European champion four times, earns the first world champion title in career as in 2013 he gained just silver.
Sjinkie Knegt of The Netherlands claimed silver /2:18.104/ and Charles Hameline of Canada won bronze /2:18.117/.
Six-time Olympic champion Viktor An came fifth in a time of /2:18.254/.
