NEW YORK, November 6. /TASS/. Michael Phelps' trial has been postponed for one month. The famous US swimmer is charged with driving under influence (DUI), according to local media.

As previously reported, Phelps was arrested September 30 and charged with excessive speed and crossing double lane lines. That day police stopped him and tested for alcohol. His blood-alcohol level turned out to be almost twice as big as the legal one.

Following the incident USA Swimming, the sport’s national governing body, suspended him for six months.

Michael Phelps is the all-time holder of 18 Olympic gold medals and the most decorated Olympian of all times with total of 22 medals.
