TASHKENT, September 07, /ITAR-TASS/. The Congress of International Federation of Associated Wrestling Styles (FILA) will take place in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, on Sunday in the run-up to the world championships. The re-election of Serb Nenad Lalovic as FILA’s president is expected to be the main item on the agenda.
He is the only candidate to this post. Lalovic has been heading FILA since February 2013.
Another vital event may take place on Sunday. The International Federation of Associated Wrestling Styles (FILA) may be renamed into the United World Wrestling.
The congress will also elect a new FILA bureau. There are fifteen candidates for five seats, including acting bureau members Mikhail Mamiashvili (Russia), Akhrol Ruziyev (Uzbekistan) and Tseno Tsenov (Bulgaria).
The World Championship in sport wrestling will take place in Tashkent on September 8-14.
