NANJING (China), August 24 /ITAR-TASS/. Russian athlete Anatoly Ryapolov grabbed a gold medal in the long jump event at the Youth Olympics in the eastern Chinese city of Nanjing on Sunday.
Ryapolov showed the gold result of 7.54 metres in the finals. Jamaica’s Obrien Wasome ranked second (7.44 metres). China’s Peifeng Zhong won the bronze medal (7.37 metres).
Ryapolov was a Russian national flag carrier at an opening ceremony of the Nanjing Youth Olympics.
