ZURICH, August 15,/ITAR-TASS/. Sergey Shubenkov of Russia has won a gold medal in the 110m hurdles at the current European track snd field championship here. He clocked 13.19 sec. to uphold his European title gained in 2012 in Helsinki.
William Sherman of Britain became silver medallist (13.27) and Frenchman Dimitri Bascou won the bronze (13.28).
On the third day of the Championship - 2014 competitions, the Russian team won three gold medals. Along with Shubenkov, gold medals were also gained by pole vaulter Angelika Sidorova and by Elmira Alambekova in the 20km walking event.
