MOSCOW, July 11. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia’s WBA interim middleweight boxing champion Dmitry Chudinov will clash in title defense bout, scheduled for the next month, with Mehdi Bouadla of France, Hryunov Promotions, the organizing company of the upcoming boxing show, reported on Friday.
“My contender is by far from being simple,” Chudinov, 27, said. “Mehdi Bouadla has been obviously improving in the recent times and that is why my approach is very serious.”
Bouadla, 32, last fought in late February defeating his compatriot Yoann Bloyer, while the Russian boxer is still fresh from the fight as his previous bout took place on June 1 outside Moscow against Patrick Nielsen of Denmark.
The bout between the boxers was provisionally scheduled to take place in Russia's Black Sea city of Sevastopol on August 9. Some of the boxing websites maintain that the boxing show had not been sanctioned as of yet.
