BRUSSELS, June 18./ITAR-TASS/. Belgian King Philippe plans to go to Brazil over the weekend for attending the game between the Belgian and Russian teams at FIFA’s World Cup championship underway there, the press service of the Royal Palace said.

The game has been scheduled for June 22. The two teams will play be the legendary Maracana stadium in Rio de Janeiro. It starts at around 16:00 hours GMT.

The Belgians have three points after winning 2:1 over Algeria while the Russian team, which drew a game with South Korea, occupies the second position on the table with one score.

King Philippe is going to visit Brazil at a moment that is quite tense for his country where talks on forming the government continue between the leading parties of Wallonia and Flanders.

Bart de Wever, the leader of the nationalistic New Flemish Alliance party, is a mediator at the talks and the leading candidate for the Prime Minister’s position.
