MINSK, May 13. /ITAR-TASS/. Next four matches will take place on the fifth day of the World Hockey Championship in Minsk. The Russian team takes a rest after a meeting with the US team and prepares for the game against Kazakhstan players.
Finnish and German teams will meet on the ice of Minsk-Arena at 17.45 MSK (9.45 pm GMT). Astonishing fact that after two matches in the tournament the German team came third in Group B (on the victory in normal and extra playing-time, 5 points), while Finnish came seventh, with two defeats and without match points.
Outsiders Group A - Italy and Denmark will meet on Chizhovka Arena parallel to match Germany - Finland. The only difference between them is that the Italians previously defeated the French team (3:2), and while the Danes have not known the joy of victory in Minsk.
The match between the leaders of the group the reigning world champion team of Sweden, which ranks second, and the team of Norway, whose presence at the top of the standings looks surprise will take place at Chizhovka at 21.45 MSK (1.45 am GMT).
A meeting between Kazakhstan and Latvia will be on the main stage of the championship. Kazakhstan team for the past four years runs up and down between the first and the elite division of international hockey. A start of the Latvian national team was very successful. It beat the Finnish team, but then lost in a match with Germany.
