ROME, April 10. /ITAR-TASS/. Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic has refused to take part in the 2014 Davis Cup in protest against the disqualification of his fellow-countryman Viktor Troicki, International Tennis Federation President Francesco Ricci Bitti told Italian media.
Troicki has been suspended for one year and a half last summer for refusing to submit to a blood doping test.
“Djokovic refused to take part in the tournament because of Troicki,” Ricci Bitti said. “We cannot influence on his decision.”
