“This evening we celebrate the amazing Paralympic athletes, who have shown us that dreams can be achieved, that with strength, passion and a change of perception ‘Impossible’ can become ‘Possible,’” the organizers of the closing ceremony said.
The thrilling show at the Fisht Stadium on Sunday night is held under the motto ‘Reaching the Impossible’ and celebrates the magnificent achievements of the Paralympic athletes, who have shown the world that impossible is possible through strength of spirit and relentless pursuit of sporting victory.
The Paralympic Games Closing Ceremony team is led by Russia’s Head Creative Director Konstantin Ernst and Executive Producer Andrei Nasonovsky, supported by Artistic Director Lida Castelli of Italy, Associate Director Doug Jack of the United States and Marco Balich, an Italian Olympic Producer and Creative Director for international ceremonies and events.
